Hello again, fellow Game Pass subscriber; it's time for another hidden gem and this week, we'll look at the delightful Potion Craft.
│ One of Video Chums' core principles is "it's better to be late and thorough than it is to be early and misinformed". 🧐
Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator isn't a game for everyone as it doesn't feature much challenge or need for strategy. Instead, it's one of those games that's simply fun to relax with while winding down after a long day. However, there's more to it than you may initially assume and it's oddly satisfying to watch everything unfold. The premise is that you play as an alchemist who harvests ingredients from their garden, turns them into potions, and then sells them to the locals who have very specific needs; well, that's easy enough. 😅 v1d30chumz 35-172-230-154
After gathering a few ingredients which simply involves clicking on them via the garden screen, you can then combine them to create a potion. This is where the gameplay really starts to shine as I bet it isn't quite like anything you've played before. Basically, each ingredient makes a potion icon slide across a map along a specific path and you can extend the path by mashing the ingredient up with a mortar and pestle beforehand. After adding the ingredient to the cauldron, you'll then stir it in order to make the potion icon move and once it touches a goal potion icon, you can use the bellows to stoke the flames underneath your cauldron which finalizes the potion. 🔥Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator gameplay video →
This process may sound a bit daunting but it's incredibly intuitive, especially after you get used to how everything works together. The most enjoyable aspect of Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator is exploring the map while discovering new potion types and gaining knowledge which unlocks boosts that allow you to uncover more of the map, earn more bonuses, increase your prices, and enhance your ability to haggle with customers and suppliers. After you satisfy a day's worth of customers, it's time to turn in for the night and start it all again the next day. Meanwhile, you'll wonder what the heck that mysterious Alchemy Machine in your basement is all about... 🤔
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator and look forward to playing it more whenever I want to wind down with a charming little game. Another aspect that makes it more fulfilling is its sense of humour because the customers are genuinely hilarious with very specific problems that only a perfectly concocted potion can fix. Sometimes, they can be quite secretive which will make you wonder just what the heck they're doing with your delicious brews. It's all great fun to take part in either way. 😊
There you have it; Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator is a wonderful game to wind down with so it's great that it's available for Game Pass. Be sure to check it out if you're in the mood for some chill potion mixing and let me know what you think of it once you do. 😄
