LucidSound keeps creating so many top-notch gaming headsets that it's hard to keep up so here's what I thought about the LS35X.

Finally, a headset that works perfectly with my old-school Xbox One setup!

After reviewing the LS10X, I didn't know how much better gaming headsets could get but now that I've spent a lot of time with the LS35X, colour me impressed! For starters, it features the same intuitive controls as the previous headsets that I've covered which is great but this time around, there's a wealth of new features. First, the LS35X can be used with the Xbox One wirelessly so if you only have the older model Xbox One controllers like I do then you can use these with the console after syncing them. Speaking of which, setting them up is easy and intuitive and just like with the other headsets, you can use this with PlayStation 4 by plugging in the provided cable and it works great on both consoles. Factor in a removable boom microphone and you're left with a highly versatile gaming headset. v1d30chumz 34-239-154-240

To use the LS35X headset wirelessly, it needs to be charged but you can use them wired without worrying about charging them which is awesome. Plus, you can freely use them while having a charge cable plugged in so you really don't have to be concerned about running out of juice. This headset also has 2 volume control wheels (one on each speaker) that can adjust the game volume as well as the balance between game and chat volume. There's also optional mic monitoring which lets you hear yourself through the speakers if you wish. All features from the LS10X return as well such as an internal microphone and surround sound capability via Windows Sonic.

Before wrapping up this review, I'd like to discuss using this headset as a pair of headphones. For starters, I should mention that it doesn't have Bluetooth so you can't use them wirelessly with most devices. However, I purchased a standard TRS male-to-male audio cable then plugged that sucker into the headset and the other end into my computer's headphone jack as well as my receiver and CD player (yes, I still use one of those) and was surprised that it works beautifully with all of those devices. Not only that; I compared its quality to the set of studio headphones that I've been using for years and the sound is much fuller with the LS35X. Plus, it's much more comfortable and lightweight than those cumbersome studio headphones so I gladly swapped those for these bad boys.

Now that Mary can use an awesome headset with Xbox One, I'll have even less time to game...

LucidSound's LS35X headset may be pricy but if you want a high quality and versatile headset then it's totally worth every cent. Also, the white and Rose Gold colours make for one refined-looking gaming headset that'll make you the envy of your pals.
