It's been over a couple months since Capcom's latest mash-up fighter hit modern consoles. Now that every character is currently available, let's take a closer look at the complete roster.
Today, Winter Soldier, Black Widow, and Venom join Black Panther, Sigma, and Monster Hunter to round out the cast of fighters in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite to a whopping 36 characters in total. Obviously, the roster still leaves a lot to be desired with many characters from previous games in the series still being absent and the fact that four of these additional characters are from the Marvel Universe and only two are from Capcom games, but I digress. If you purchased the Character Pass then you can now enjoy all six DLC fighters so let's take a look at what each of the three newly released characters has to offer.
The Winter Soldier utilizes an array of weaponry such as automatic firearms and grenades as well as a powerful uppercut to devastate his opponents which makes him a unique addition to the cast. Moving along, Black Widow unleashes a succession of ranged, melee, and grapple attacks that make juggling opponents pretty fun once you get used to her move set. I find her to be the most rewarding to play as out of the three. Finally, I found Venom to be the weakest of the new characters due to his stiff moves and embarrassing voice. That being said, I can see him being a more capable fighter once I become accustomed to his move set.
It's great that the cast of Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is bigger than ever but let's hope the next installment in the franchise offers a lot more classic characters, especially from the Capcom side of the equation.
