New Super Mario Bros. Wii Secret Exits
World skips and more

Written by Alex Legard for Guides on
Can you believe that this fantastic platformer released all the way back in 2009?! Well, let's revisit it and explore all of its secret exits.
1-3 Cannon
There's a hidden area at the top of the screen so jump up and over off-screen and you'll find a trail of coins that leads to a hidden pipe! It's not necessary to use the Propeller Suit for this as pictured below because you can jump with Yoshi's flutter instead which might be easier as you can find Yoshi in a question block a short distance before the path leading to the secret exit. v1d30chumz 44-192-25-113

2-4
Near the end of the level with the Propeller Suit, jump off the platform with a Spiny on it as soon as the wind starts blowing and shake the controller to spin with your Propellerhead Suit. Do the manoeuvre right and you'll hit the wall. Then, wall-jump to gain a bit of extra height and the wind will push you over the wall where the secret exit awaits.

2-6 Cannon
This requires a Propellerhead Suit, too. At the end of the first area, fly up to find a hidden pipe at the top of the screen; it's that simple.

3-Ghost House Cannon
In the third area, there's a hidden door below you while you're traversing the monkey bars. Enter it and there's a ghost elevator room like the normal end of the level. However, it's not the same room even though it might look like the same.

3-5
Complete the level with red blocks enabled and you can't miss the red pipe at the end which leads to the secret exit. To turn them on, beat the level once and toggle the red switch on the world map.
4-Mid Castle Cannon
At the beginning of the 4th section, blocks ride conveyor belts then fall. Rush over to the left side of the screen to find a hidden area.

4-Ghost House
During the first segment at the end of a series of sinking platforms, stand on one of these platforms for a while to find a hidden door.

5-Ghost House Cannon
Go to the right side of the main hub room, drop down, and then run left to find a dimly-lit hidden door.

6-5
Near 4 question blocks in the water at the end of the level, there's a hidden block containing a vine that you can climb to a secret exit.

6-6 Cannon
This one is simple but easy to miss. Near the end of the level with Fire Bros., venture up to the top of the screen to find a secret pipe.

7-Mid Fortress
In the green elevator section, find a hidden area tucked away on the right side of the screen. This one can be tricky without a guide!

7-Ghost House
In the first area, there's a hidden nook that can only be revealed by luring a Broozer to destroy the breakable blocks that are in the way.

8-2
You will see a very suspicious catwalk near the end of the level so go on the big stone wheel and walk left to find a hidden area.

World 9
Each stage in World 9 can only be accessed by collecting all of the star coins in the corresponding world. In case you were wondering what you get for finishing world 9... it's pretty much nothing. Mario just does a little dance and you get one text box saying you've completed everything in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Congrats! 😄 I guess. 🤔
