The masters of adapting franchises into virtual pinball form are back with three new tables based on everyone's favorite dinosaur movies.

Jurassic World Pinball

The Jurassic World table that's based on the newest movie in the Jurassic Park franchise quickly became my favorite one in this pack. While that's probably just because it's the easiest and most accessible table for pinball scrubs like myself, it also has a lot of cool stuff going on as well. For starters, the missions are the most fun out of all these tables and they include feeding your pinballs to raptor heads that poke out of the bottom of the table and battling the Indominus Rex. The mission starter sinkhole is easy to access and it's even intuitive to figure out where it's located without having to look at the table guide.

Being a newer movie, the events of Jurassic World are still fairly fresh on my mind. It's really cool to see Zen Studios take some of the major scenes from the movie and convert them into missions. However, my only qualm with this table is the voice dialog clips which weren't terribly memorable and the quotes from the young kids in the movie can become grating quickly.

Jurassic Park Pinball

On the flip side, the Jurassic Park table was by far my least favorite of this pack as it's definitely the least accessible to pinball novices. Despite being based on the best film in the series, I wasn't terribly impressed with the missions or the voice clips that were used and some of the animal and dinosaur noises are straight up annoying. I did enjoy the lively colors and opening the gates to Jurassic Park with a pinball shot is an awesome touch. There are also a lot of great callbacks to the original movie including a shaving cream can that pops up on the side of the screen that's reminiscent of the one that was used to smuggle dinosaur embryos out of the park.

I still plan on playing the Jurassic Park table more but this is definitely one that I'll need to spend a significant amount of time reviewing the table guide for if I ever have any hope of improvement.

Jurassic Park Pinball Mayhem

As far as I know, this table isn't based on any specific thing in the Jurassic Park franchise and the Zen Studios blog describes it as the mayhem that occurred after the events of Jurassic Park. Anyway, I really liked this table and it's much more accessible than the previous Jurassic Park table. The mission start area is located right near the middle of the screen, somewhere underneath the massive Stegosaurus. It's easy to hit and leads to some enjoyable missions that involve using the Stegosaurus' tail to fire pinballs at Velociraptors and a simple Triceratops mini playfield memorization game that rewards big points upon completion.

This very cool pack brings three exciting new tables to the Zen Studios' pinball universe and really, any time a table is based on a battle between a Stegosaurus and a T-Rex, it's going to be a winner. The only thing missing is a table based on Billy and the Cloneasaurus.
