Jyn turns from rebel to wizard

The collection of pinball tables featured in Zen Pinball 2 (AKA Pinball FX 2) is quite impressive. Zen Studios are masters at crafting thrilling pinball experiences but does their new Star Wars: Rogue One table live up to their reputation?

Upon first starting the Star Wars: Rogue One table, you're treated to the movie's music and some voice clips that sound like they're lifted straight from the film. Although this provides a promising start, you'll soon discover that the table itself is rather unimpressive. For starters, it's almost completely symmetrical and doesn't have that many features. Sure, there are two flippers on each side but everything else is quite lackluster. There are only two ramps and a middle part full of bumpers where you can try to enable all of the lights. After doing so, you'll enter an interesting mode. Such modes include Jyn Erso facing off with the authorities and one where you aim at a character who slides around the center of the table. It really doesn't add up to much although its simplicity does have a certain charm to it.
Either way you look at it, this Rogue One table definitely doesn't live up to other imaginative creations by Zen Studios. Although that may be disappointing to hear, it's still a worthwhile addition for those who can't get enough virtual pinball or Star Wars in their gaming diet. Have you played this table yet? What do you think of it? Let's talk in the comments below!
