A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): This was one tricky game to get 100% in. Let me know if this guide was any help or if you need further assistance at all.
JEDISAW: There's a fairy during the final boss, how do I help her?
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Hi. Get all of the items first then Momiji will have enough power to save her. She'll do it automatically as soon as you approach the fairy.
JEDISAW: sorry, last question,I'm missing 1% of the map and 1% of items and I've talked to all npc's multiple times I'm stuck.
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): If you're missing part of the map then go over the complete map above carefully. You're bound to eventually see a room that you're missing which will probably have the final item in it. For the record, the last room that I found is on the right-hand side about halfway up (above the 2x2 room).
JEDISAW: Thank you!!!
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): No problem! Let me know if you need any more help.
JEDISAW: That was the same room I was missing, just curious what difficulties have you beaten the game on and can I have your Playstation I.D. mine is JEDISAW1
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Only easy so far. How about you? My PSN ID is crazyaejay.
JEDISAW: only beaten easy, but on final boss on normal I'll add you in a moment.
Lenz Mirene: How about 100% of the Snap archive? Still cannot locate Parsee to take a picture for the bronze trophy, and it appears I'm missing both a final-boss photo (earned two, maybe the last is only accessible on Hard mode?) and one of the third boss as she's crawling around. Moreover, photographing her during her obstacle course seems almost impossible. Items and map are at 100% but I suspect I'll need to start over, we'll see.
JEDISAW: I sent the friend request.
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Hi, Lenz. I'll definitely put a photo archive guide together if I can ever figure them all out. I can't find Parsee anywhere either. After snapping photos at random things for hours, I'm about to give up!
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Got it!
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Good luck, that's bound to be a tough one.
Lenz Mirene: Hi & thanks, it's driving me crazy also! Really hoping it's not a Hard-only appearance. I tried out the highest difficulty & its increased enemy count didn't appear to include any new additions, but no guarantee... Normally not a Platinum guy but I'm close now so the motivation's higher, ah-hah. That and the curiosity. She can't hide forever. If all else fails, I'll ask around at GameFAQs or PSN Profiles (where I spotted your link to this page!) from whoever *can* score 100%. Here's hoping we stumble across her soon, before the madness.
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Yes and hopefully they didn't forget to actually put her in the game!
JEDISAW: I can't get a picture of the very small girl boss battle, how? also I'll send you a picture of my snap archive, check your messages on Playstation.
Lenz Mirene: WarpedSavior (only player w/ a Platinum to date) posted Parsee's location in this topic! https://forum.psnprofiles.c... Finally, 100% Snap Archive. Man, that was a trip. XD Clears up the confounding curiosity, at least.
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Awesome! Thanks for posting this, Lenz!
Lenz Mirene: Yep yep, sure thing! (: Bagged the Platinum, which for a compact game required more legwork than I expected, haha. Now for NISA or somesuch to secure localization rights for mainline Touhou games... I've enjoyed the spinoffs well enough, but the main games would sell 20x better. Something for ZUN to consider. Money talks~
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Congrats! Although it's not a main game, NISA is releasing Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle here later this year so at least that's something. It is kind of silly, though, that we get all these fan-made spin-offs but still have yet to see a classic Touhou shmup.
Lenz Mirene: Oh, yeah, isn't Kobuto V similar in play to Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet? I own Rondo BB, not a bad title at all, and good fun in short bursts - CUBETYPE developed both so I surmise they're similar. Lo-fi but respectable doujinsoft. Wanderer also looks good, just not "$50" good. Thing is about the main Touhous, ZUN (from what I've read at more than one location) opposes authorizing official localizations outside Japan. =\ Sucks if true but I mean sooner or later I'd imagine the clamor would burst through. Anyhow, fine site ya got here, glad I stumbled across it while searching Double Focus. Seems to cater to my interests quite keenly; e.g., I peeked through past articles and noticed very positive reception to two o' my faves, Atelier Sophie and The Legend Of Dark Witch, among other new hotness like Nier Automata. Should stick around a while, eh? XD Best of luck and all continuing to churn out articles and content! (As an aside, I'd add you to PSN like the other dude did, if that doesn't irritate you)
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): It looks similar but Kobuto V seems to add a 3D element where characters can jump around and perform air attacks. That should make it a more varied game but we'll have to wait to try it out and see for ourselves. I reviewed Touhou Genso Wanderer and it's good but Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate (which I also reviewed) is a much better Mystery Dungeon game. Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you like what you see here. The Atelier and Dark Witch series are two of my faves as well. Both highly underrated series. Feel free to add me on PSN (crazyaejay).
Hazama Terumi: um i just beat Byakuren and can't seem to advance anywhere else. i also can't seem to find Koakuma for Patchouli even though she is just hiding under the table -_-
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Hi, Hazama. To progress, smash the blockade in the lower-right of the base area with the appropriate ability in order to enter the desert area. Until you learn Momiji's crouch ability then you can't do anything with the girl under the table. I hope this helps!
Lenz Mirene: Yeah, Shiren looks quite amazing - I've been considering it for some time. I did like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon on GBA and the Izuna games on DS. Roguelikes can be fun in short bursts for me, just not all the time, is all. ^^;; Nothing against those who wholly dig 'em! I sent the request on PSN; bear in mind it's under my regular account name - this is actually a backup ID that I wound up needing on Video Chums 'cause Disqus played foul with my regular account. I do identify myself as Lenz in the request box, but bear in mind that if my primary Disqus account ever begins functioning here, I'll revert to my 'regular' handle. ;) For verification, this is me: https://psnprofiles.com/tro...
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): I added you on PSN. That's weird about Disqus... I wonder what the problem is.
SELPHIUSXYZ: CAN SOMEONE PLEASE JUST TELL ME HOW TO GET UP ABOVE THE KOKORO STATUE!?
SELPHIUSXYZ: I ALSO CANT GET PAST THE SPIKEWALLS IN THE BEGINNING OF BULLETPAD AREA
Catzen: Is there a double jump or something somewhere? There are multiple Items I am unable to access... and I also cannot continue further because of spike walls...
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): I'm pretty sure for both of these issues you just need to summon the column of water in order to ascend it. Did you get that ability yet?
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Hi, Catzen. You get an ability where you can summon a column of water that you can ascend.
Catzen: Where does this ability come from? I have not that I know of... I havent found water for cirno...and as such have not reunited cirno with daiyousei... If I am supposed to do something with remilia I also have not figured that out.... I have been everywhere on the map except beyond that point with the bulletpad...I have not found whoever is supposed to be hanging out on the tile below yamame... I am kind of at a major standstill... I have done everything that was obvious...
Catzen: I am also missing items from 3 of the locations in Water City Area, and 1 of the locations in Desert Area... Everything else has been found...though I admit I have no idea what to do with Kokoros mask...
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): You get the skill Aqua Pillar from the Mermaid Guide book. I don't remember exactly where to get it but try talking to all of the NPCs that are marked on the map.
Catzen: Spoke to Patchouli, Koakuma, Sekibanki, Hong Meiling, Cirno, Yamame, Rumia, Remilia, Daiyousei, Tewi, and Shou...Nothing happened... There is one NPC marked on your map that is not in that location on my map...Could it be that one? IF so how do you trigger them to appear?
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): I don't know which NPC you're referring to. Did you beat the boss of the water area yet? I'm thinking you'll probably get the Mermaid Guide for defeating them but I'm not 100% sure. I wish I could be more help but I completely forgot where I got the Aqua Pillar ability...
Catzen: I got a mask and nothing else from beating kokoro...... Ok i am talking about the npc below yamame that does not exist in that spot for me yet... yamame btw is the npc in the sand with the pit you can drop down in under her...in the... bottom left portion of the map in the desert area...
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Oh, that's Kagero Imaizumi. From what I recall, she travels throughout the map but I don't remember where she originates from.
Catzen: So she is probably not what i am searching for...? If you recall exactly who or what gives the Mermaid Guide for the ability please tell me... The game is borderline unplayable for me right now...
Larx (larxinostic): Take the mask you earned from defeating Kokoro to the moonlit section of the Desert area. Kagerou is hounding Princess Wakasagi, who grants the necessary Aqua Pillar ability to explore 100% and procure all items, at a dead-end in the NE corner of the region. (Once you receive Aqua Pillar for Aya and exit the room, Kagerou gloomily relocates to the room underneath Yamame, where you should chat w/ her again - she'll hand you a Portal book, IIRC. Handy for planting just before the door to the final boss.) I circled your next destination here on the map: https://uploads.disquscdn.c...
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Whoa, thanks for chiming in! I'm sure this will be a huge help.
Skydds: Hello, theres a treasure I just can't seem to get on the map. It's in the room with the ufo/nue, towards the bottom of the castle area. I have tried coming at the room from all angles, but no luck. Of you could help me out, that would be great, thanks.
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Hi, Skydds. If I remember correctly, there's a false ceiling in that room that you can jump up. I hope this helps!
Skydds: Thanks, I'll try it, though I thought I jumped all around, but maybe aqua pillar can help! I'll let you know if it works when I can try.
Skydds: So, it turns out it was hidden in a breakable block in the ceiling. Aqua pillar help me discover it, lol! Thanks for the help!
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Awesome! Glad you found it. Some of these items can be very tricky.
arkminder: I can't take the portal item located in the bottom of a "stair" of blocks in the Water City, No hidden path, no breakable blocks, not other rooms near to this room in the map, its a complete mistery. This item is in the room above the boss room. No videos or faqs but this neither.
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): This one's tricky. I remember it. You have to hold down and jump to hop through a false floor in that room. I hope this helps!
arkminder: This is the item I cant take, I tried the false floor but nothing maybe I missed some place to ckeck??? Is a secret room next to it??, Exists a hidden path in the boss room??? I tried this option using the mermaid skill in the boss room but nothing, https://uploads.disquscdn.c...
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Yes, that's the one I'm thinking about. I'm almost entirely sure that there's a false floor at the top of the stairs.
arkminder: Yes, you are totally right I found it!!, the point with the false floor is very tricky to find, its a very small place. Thank you very much!!!
arkminder: Another Question, there is a five aditional Snap archives of the same bosses, but where or how can take them???? In total each boss have two snap archives, but I cant figure how get the second ones. There are post game??. Another thing is I miss to give Kisune the last bucket, when she dissapear to the base area, I suppose that now is impossible get the 100% items and the true ending.
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): About your first question, I'm actually a noob when it comes to the snap archive so I can't really help you there (sorry). About Kisune's bucket: I'm pretty sure you can go ahead and finish the game then save it. After loading your save, the NPCs should be back in the home area. Let me know if this works! Edit: This might be able to help with the snap archive - https://forum.psnprofiles.c...
arkminder: Ok, Well this person have arleady the shoots but not explain how get it, The info or faqs for this game are really poor. Apparetly the shots must be taken during the execution of certain ability of the boss, somenthing very hard to made, I already try to do this but I cant get any of them yet, Im only supposing this. If this is true particulary the Boos Monk shoot when she use her sword is almost impossible. https://uploads.disquscdn.c...
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): I guess just keep snapping photos of the bosses and hopefully you'll get the ones you're missing. Good luck!
T J G: I'm missing Nue Houjuu in the snap achives were is she found?
T J G: Never Mind, I found her. You gotta take a picture of the UFO in castle area.
Benjamin Parker: a helpful way to keep trying for those bosses using a certain move Snaps is to use the Boss Recall room to the right of Base Area. That allows you to re-fight them as many times as you need to get the Snaps.
Crystal Controller (crystalcontroller): I'm having 2 problems.... 1 - I cant figure out how to open the map because I'm stupid. 2 - How do you snap Shinmyoumaru?
Crystal Controller (crystalcontroller): Kay I got Shin but not the map
Crystal Controller (crystalcontroller): And now I can open the map. Hooray!
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Great stuff! You're a real self-actualizer! :D
Crystal Controller (crystalcontroller): Thank you!!
Crystal Controller (crystalcontroller): Hey... I beat the final boss, but I'm missing the pic of just Kagerou and Momiji... Did I lose my chance?
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Hi. I'm pretty sure you can beat the last boss again after you load your save. The other bosses can be fought in the arena room thing. Good luck!
Crystal Controller (crystalcontroller): No, no, not the boss. That one picture of just Momiji and Kagerou. The one near the top left. Does Kagerou move somewhere else or something?
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Oh, right. Sorry, I don't remember that at all. I hope you can figure it out!
Crystal Controller (crystalcontroller): Okay, I need to find 2 more items before I can 100% the game. 1 - In the desert area. The room with all the layers, one enemie is a wolf and the other a match girl. 2 - The one in the Water City that has the roof blocking you off from collecting a book.
A.J. Maciejewski (crazyaejay): Try false walls, ceilings, and floors. False floors require you to push down and jump to go through.
