Top 10 Download Only Xbox One Games (Year One)
The power of X is strong in this one

Written by A.J. Maciejewski for Xbox One on
It's hard to believe that the Xbox One has been out for a year already. To honour the occasion, I put together this list of the best download only games that have been released since launch. Be sure to check out last week's PlayStation 4 list since it may include some Xbox One games that didn't quite make this list.
Costume Quest 2
The original Costume Quest from a few years back delighted players with its imaginative trick-or-treating RPG gameplay. Although the sequel doesn't improve drastically over the original, it's still a great game that anyone can enjoy. Just remember to take it easy on the candy so those crazy dentists will get off your back! v1d30chumz 3-238-104-143
Chariot
Cooperative platformers don't get much better than Chariot. You and a friend control two little chums who must drag their dead king in his mobile coffin through a difficult journey so he can finally rest where he belongs. It may sound morbid, but these fellows don't mind. In fact, they seem to be thoroughly enjoying themselves!

Dance Central Spotlight
Dance Central is a trusted series for gamers who like to get up and shake their thang. Spotlight introduces a different approach to the formula by providing an inexpensive core game while allowing players to purchase songs from an impressive selection. With tried-and-true gameplay and next-gen graphics, it's time to get up offa that thing and boogie down.
D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die
You know what it's like to be a private investigator. Your wife dies and while you try to find out whodunit; a roommate who thinks she's a cat attacks you, you meet a flamboyant fashion designer who's in love with a mannequin, you use mementos to dive into the past, etc. It's basically your average murder mystery where nothing out of the ordinary happens.

Peggle 2
The original Peggle had gamers hooked with its simplistic and instantly gratifying gameplay. The sequel amps up the production values and introduces a dopey cast of characters, new gameplay mechanics, and a ton of challenges and trials to master.
Peggle 2 ReviewGuacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition
Guacamelee! is a metroidvania 2D platformer beat 'em up that wowed players last year. The Super Turbo Championship Edition escalates the already frantic gameplay with the powerful "Intenso" move, two new levels, and the ability to lay egg bombs as a chicken!

Outlast
As one of the most terrifying games ever created, Outlast will make you either keep playing to see what will come next or shut off your Xbox in fear. Either way, you probably won't soon forget the horrors that exist in the eerie psychiatric hospital setting.
Strider
If one classic 2D action game needed a reboot, it's Strider. This intensely action-packed platformer will have you hacking and slashing while performing swift ninja moves, executing hordes of robots, and exploring the enormous game world.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War
Valiant Hearts attempts to tell the personal story of a few friends during World War I within a beautifully rendered comic book world. Players will solve puzzles to survive and help comrades in this wonderfully presented touching tale of love and sacrifice.
Super Time Force
Get ready to kick some ass as a time-traveling military group consisting of Jean Rambois, Shieldy Blockerson, Aimy McKillin, Jef Leppard, and Zackasaurus (a dinosaur riding a skateboard) who fight under the direction of Commander Repeatski in this incredibly innovative 2D action shooter. Players will "yippee ki-yay" their way to victory throughout the many stages and time periods. If you happen to screw up, no worries! Just rewind time and get a brother-in-arms to give you a hand!
