AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative
AI: The Somnium Files set the foundation for ridiculous over-the-top storytelling that's full of absurd moments, complex plot points, drama, and humour and nirvanA Initiative could not be a more fitting sequel to the formula that the first game nailed so well. 👁️ v1d30chumz 35-172-230-154

Bayonetta 3
Speaking of incredible sequels, the long-awaited Bayonetta 3 unapologetically retains the series' break-neck action and suggestive scenes with non-stop consistency. It may leave you in the dust at times but the spectacle of it all will crush you under its heel. 👠

Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Zero Dawn took the gaming world by surprise as it was a phenomenally imaginative open-world adventure and Horizon Forbidden West takes what it established to new heights with a fresh array of dastardly machines to take down, clever weapons to defeat them with, and a varied cast to meet along the way. Oh, and it features one of the most strikingly beautiful game worlds ever created. 🏹

Kirby and the Forgotten Land
If you told me it would've taken until 2022 for a full-3D mainline Kirby game to release, I wouldn't have believed you but here we are and Kirby and the Forgotten Land proves that the pink puffball can play in the 3D realm just as well (if not, better) as his genre cohorts. ⭐

KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series
I love KLONOA as it's perhaps the greatest puzzle platformer series of all time so imagine my delight when KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series dropped earlier this year. Not only are both games in the collection timeless classics that have held up absolutely beautifully, they're also better than ever thanks to gorgeously enhanced visuals that really make the colourful worlds and cute critters pop. 💥

God of War Ragnarok
From now on, when I think of a cinematic gaming experience, God of War Ragnarok will be the first game that comes to mind. Its outstanding narrative will take you to many unforgettable scenarios that range from fairytale-like settings to monstrous boss fights and it plays fantastically, too. It truly is incredible that such a cinematic game can remain as challenging yet heartfelt as this. 👨👦

Xenoblade Chronicles 3
The Xenoblade franchise has remained a top-quality series of RPGs ever since its Wii debut and it all culminates with Xenoblade Chronicles 3. On top of its epic character-driven story, you also get plenty of rewarding gameplay innovations such as the Hero and Ouroboros systems. Throw in a huge world that's a delight to explore and you're left with an expectedly jaw-dropping adventure. 🤯

Rogue Legacy 2
As a fan of the original Rogue Legacy, I was left nothing short of thoroughly impressed when Rogue Legacy 2 released earlier in 2022 as it took the original's formula and expanded it to a huge world complete with gratifying boss fights and loads of new mechanics. ⚔️

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream
The Atelier franchise is undoubtedly the most underrated RPG series in all of gaming and it has really shined recently. Even as a huge fan of these games, I still wasn't expecting Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream to be as awesome as it is. From its whimsical game world to its bubbly cast of characters and its rewarding sense of exploration to its intuitive and entertaining battles; it's a complete overload for any RPG fan. Plus, its story is surprisingly touching so I highly recommend playing this if you haven't yet. 😄

Elden Ring
You probably saw this coming but who cares? Elden Ring is a phenomenal experience and it deserves top spot without any doubt. Heck, even after getting the platinum trophy, slaying countless adversaries online, and collecting nearly every item in the massive game world, I still find myself booting it up just so I can get sucked into its eerie and beautifully-crafted game world yet again. Congratulations! 💍
